I just love how Dean was so angry but the second Cas says that it was to keep him safe Dean’s face just immediately softens. Like, if I can pinpoint the second when Dean realizes he still loves Cas (platonic or non platonic) this would be it.

BECAUSE OF COURSE CAS DID IT FOR DEAN, WHEN HAS CAS EVER DONE ANYTHING THAT WASN’T FOR DEAN? 

What kills me just a  bit more, it’s that it is exactly something a Winchester would do for someone they cared about.
